Fursona Acceptable Use Policy

The character of Frisk is an incredibly personal fursona to me. He is me or who I want to be, he is missed opportunities I wish I used. Even so, I love to share and my opinions on copyrights are very relaxed, and so I don’t like to hold Frisk hostage. If someone else finds Frisk adorable/cute or just fitting for idea in their head - I’m honored!

This page describes my lighter and heavier suggestions and wishes on use of him in creative work that is not directly commissioned by myself.

Page is directed both at creatures who want to commission work with Frisk or creators who don’t want to infringe upon rights or wishes of “character owners” like myself and require permission from the character owner to start work. Page is applicable both to adult as well as cub variant of my sona. I consider the below policies to be fairly permissive with what they allow you to do.

Note

TL;DR You don’t have to ask me for permission to use Frisk for artwork, games and stories, but don’t use political messaging, don’t spread hatered, don’t use creative works to harm others, no depictions of IRL individuals for work involving my characters, no making money out of Frisk’s usage and no paywalls.

General terms

Acceptable use policies apply to stories, artwork (physical and digital), games. For other types of physical works assume that I’m not ok with given usage and I invite you to contact me.

You do not need to ask me for permission to create creative work with Frisk in it if your use follows the below policies, though letting me know about creation’s existence would be very, very appreciated. I promise I won’t bite or judge and very likely will be delighted!

If work shows adult Frisk you should also to best of your ability link back to publicly available reference sheet of Frisk as means of attribution and to share the cutie even further.

You do not need to follow any terms for permission to do anything with Frisk if creative work is staying personal/private and is not going to be published or visible beyond small circle of friends/family. The policies in here are only for creations that either I’ll be able to see or is going to be published in any capacity.

Exceptions are given on case-by-case basis. Policy is subject to change, however any changes affect only work that is started after policy change (meaning that you should be only interested in most recent policy version when you start working on work involving Frisk).

Specific terms

🙅🏻‍♂️ Clear no’s

  • Any kind of political messages or setups. The only acceptable political messaging/involvement that I find allowable is Frisk in approval of LGBTQ+ rights.
  • Anything involving hatered towards groups or individuals.
  • Any work involving depictions or descriptions of real life individuals with or without their consent.
  • Any work that purpose of is to do real life harm (e.g. by harassment of other individuals).
  • My characters are not to be used for monetary gain.1
  • If you make work with Frisk, do not put it behind paywall.2

🫤 Discouraged use

I heavily discourage3 use of Frisk in:

  • Non-SFW scenarios involving female presenting characters (Frisk is homosexual and interested in male presenting bodies including men with a penis, men with vagina).
  • Different gender identity to the one specified in the reference sheet.

I discourage4 use of Frisk in:

  • Context where Frisk behaves very inconsistently from what is described in the reference sheet.5
  • Work where he is directly involved in: domination6, vore, feet fetishism, snuff, death, physical violence (including depiction of guns or items with clear intent for violent use), tickles, hyper of any kind, fat/obesity, farts, alcohol and cigarette use.7

✅ Encouraged use

I encourage/don’t protest against use of Frisk in:

  • Kinky works of any kind with exception of fetishes specified in Discouraged use section,
    • especially encouraged are: transformation (with exception to body part transformation), submission, regression, corruption, bondage, parasite, watersports, branding, pet play, age play, latex.
    • I don’t mind heavier or problematic kinks/scenarios as well - scat, age gap, you name it. As per my opinion on art - fiction is fiction, go wild.
  • Creative works promoting LGBTQ+ rights or sex positivity - those are two things I’m always heavily in favor and want to support,
  • Other non-sexual and non-political scenarios that aren’t mentioned in discouraged/clear no sections are of course fine as well! Frisk is primarily a cute creature. He doesn’t mind hugging, snuggling, kissing, playing. He has his own moments of weakness, sadness, emotional distress. I focus a lot on sexual stuff since this seems to be usually most problematic so I prefer to explain that first and foremost.

Other comments

I’m well aware that this policy will only be followed by parties who respect consent and wishes of other creatures. If you are such a creature - thank you so much! If you’d like to involve Frisk in some work and would like my input, I’m more than eager to chat on this idea as well as potentially chip in with money if I really like the idea and have the necessary financial stability to do this. I started creating this policy with simple goal of making Frisk more available and not exclusive to just whatever I can come up with. I created those policies based on how fair are they ethically and in relation to me.

I don’t see anything wrong with reposting art of Frisk on any art sharing websites including imageboards if the work does not break Clear no’s section terms. Ultimately however, whether work can be republished depends on the creator of work.

I’m also not to be held liable for any negative consequences of Frisk’s use including but not limited to: having to explain to all of the neighbors why there is a giant summoning circle in front of your house, disappearance of Nutella in Nutella jars, required cleanup due to shack made out of sticks in the middle of a bedroom.

  1. Commercial usage of Frisk is forbidden. I don’t feel comfortable with anyone using Frisk for IRL financial gain. This definition of commercial usage might be tricky, since I don’t mind usage of Frisk in publicly available work for projects or people receiving money from donations, or artists making creative work based on commission for which they took money, please contact me if you have doubts whether I’m ok with given usage. ↩︎

  2. If you do decide to post creative work of Frisk, please do not put it behind any sort of paywall. I make Frisk available for others because I love sharing, paywalls are incompatible with ideas under which I share Frisk. ↩︎

  3. Those uses of Frisk go directly against my identity and I consider them problematic, I do not want to see creative works of this kind but I can’t stop you from creating it. ↩︎

  4. If you care about my wishes you probably shouldn’t involve Frisk in this context, though if you feel really strongly about it I’ll not complain. ↩︎

  5. This mainly means that his character is completely different from how I see Frisk acting as described in the reference sheet. Some scenarios are an exception to this rule (such as mind control/possession). For example depicting him as incredibly rude and forceful creature would be discouraged. Frisk’s character is a large part of him, and while some deviations are possible, there shouldn’t be a visible contrast between reference sheet and depicted behavior without a very good cause. ↩︎
